Question: Does being gay equate to femininity?
I know you go around a lot of social media sites like, Adam4Adam and BGC and all you see is " NO FEMS, NO INBETWEENS", but why? What is considered "FEM" and what is considered " MASC" ? Does a "Bottom" have to the feminine one in the relationship or when having sex? My thing is a lot of guys these days feel as since your gay you have to take on female qualities and I don't agree with that. I think if you gay then you should gay because that is what you identify yourself as . "Gay" is your sexual orientation because your attracted to the same sex...I didn't know "GAY" means you have to be a woman. I never knew that, but don't get me wrong to each is own. I just feel as if a lot of the "FEM" boys tend to put on an act and it looks fake and they look like they are trying to hard. But I do know there are guys out there who love feminine men because they are some what still attracted to females so they need their male counterpart to take on the female qualities. WHAT IS YOUR OPINION?
Most gay men I've met have had effeminate qualities, even the ones who identify as masc. I think some fem guys may be putting on an act but so are all these hypermacho thugs who act and look like dumb animals.

ON THE OTHER HAND, YOU HAVE THE MASCULINE GAY GUYS WHO DON'T LIKE TO BE DEFINED AS BEING FEMININE BECAUSE OF THE NEGATIVE STEREOTYPES ASSOCIATED W/ HOMOSEXUALITY !! THIS IS ESPECIALLY TRUE IN THE BLACK COMMUNITY SO THIS CAUSES GAY BLACK MEN TO BE IN DENIAL ABOUT THEIR SEXUALITY OR ELSE THEY WILL BE ON THE SO -CALLED ''D.L.'' !!!
ReplyDeletePersonally, I wouldn't date one of those men pictured because they look more like women than men, but I would date a feminine man versus the "thug". I do think it's stupid when gay men discriminate against each other for being effeminate based on the divide and conquer element of it all. It's like a top discriminating against a bottom when he needs there to be a bottom to get his rocks off. Clearly he's not going to fuck a woman. And it is one's right to say what he likes and don't like, but if you're just as feminine as the ones you're throwing away, you need not to be demanding anything. At the end of the day, it all boils down to the self-esteem level of an individual.
