I've been wanting to interview versatile top performer and ballroom sex siren ( yes I said ballroom sex siren) Phoenix for the longest and in the normal Phoenix fashion .. being always late ( just kidding .. love ya Phoenix ) I finally got my chance to. He was ranked in the top 10 performers of 2011 on my annual top 25 list of pornstars because 2011 was a big year for him, being nominated for best versatile performer and sex siren at the 2011 Blatino Awards. I have to say Phoenix is an interesting character and I give him alot of credit because he puts 100% into everything he does and that is commendable. I hope you enjoy getting to know him a bit more!!
Dunkin: Who is Phoenix?
Phoenix: Phoenix is my " CHARACTER". He is much like me in many ways so I can say he is 1 of my alter egos. Secretly, I like to call him the "DEMON" within me and when he comes out and takes over.. sometimes it is virtually impossible to keep up with me sexually, which then leads to many problems in a relationship. LOL
Dunkin: What ultimately made you decide to get into porn?
Phoenix: It wasn't a last minute thing... I actually am an exotic dancer and have been since I was 16. I would always get approached about doing porn when I traveled to different cities to dance, so finally I just said Fuck it! and I decided to check out the industry.
Dunkin: How was has sex influenced you being a sex siren? Are the two different ? similar?
Phoenix: Porn has really only influenced me on a business level.
Dunkin: How does Phoenix differ from Trey Revlon?
Phoenix: As I said before, " PHOENIX" is my character, my brand and 1 of my alter egos. "Trey Revlon" is another big alter ego of mine because I am "ballroom scene kid". I love going to and walking balls and I am family member of the " Iconic House of Revlon" thus Trey is my ballroom ego.
Dunkin: What made you decide to do raw porn being that people have a tendency to automatically assume your sick when you do?
Phoenix: I decided to get into raw porn just because it was a business decision I was interested in. I don't base my life or make decisions off of people. I don't care what people have to say about how I live my life because at the end of the day it's "MY LIFE" and if more people would live that way we wouldn't see as many fake people in the world.
Dunkin: How do you feel about HIV Positive models doing raw porn?
Phoenix: To me, its neither here nor there because as long as the models are notified of all and any situations beforehand.. it is totally up to them to make a decision to shoot with them or not.
Dunkin: How did you get started with Breeditraw and what made you decide to work with them?
Phoenix: Actually, I was familiar with Breeditraw through word of mouth amongst other pornstars. But I was contacted by the owner after letting my buddy Intrigue know I was interested in Breeditraw. It just went from there and I decided on them because I am a business man and I like money, at the time they had the best offer on the table for TEAM PHOENIX
Dunkin: Your first scene with Black Rayne was the " Jamaican Dick" scene with Trapboyy, how was it?
Phoenix: I was excited about working with the new company but hey it's porn.. did one porn scene did them all.
Dunkin: Being a verse performer do you find it easier or harder to find work?
Phoenix: It's much harder because I am a "Versatile Top" and most companies either want me to get pounded by some buff old man who could be my father or pretend to be that man and those men aren't attractive to me at all. But that's the look the porn world ( producers ) are looking for... NOT THE FANS ( the money ).
Dunkin: Which do you like better: top or the bottom and why?
Phoenix: I prefer top more but I love VERSATILITY... I like a touch of both at times.
Dunkin: You've been in numerous scenes, but which one is your favorite?
Phoenix: Favorite?? Hmmm... I really can't think of one that I can say is my favorite, but I do have a top 5: They are "Sizzle" with Hotrod on chocolate drop, "Between Lovers" with Slikk on Breeditraw, a scene with Cornbread on Dark Centaur ( soon to be released ), a scene with Brian Swagger for Black Breeders ( soon to be released ) and lastly, a scene with a dude called White Boi ( or Trey on Thugempirez). But you know what I think my favorite scene is coming up soon with the launch of Phoenix Rizing.
Dunkin: Describe your hottest sexual encounter.

Dunkin: I've read that you want to start your own company ( you don't have to give too much away ), what is the ultimate goal for it?
Phoenix: My ultimate goal is for the pornstars I work with to get proper promotion, pay, recognition, etc as the other companies, bigger companies, white companies.
Dunkin: Is there anything in the industry you don't like?
Phoenix: Pornstar Pay!!! They will pay some pornstars anywhere from $100 to $700 and send them on their way and they go on to make thousands off of DVD sales and online memberships.
Dunkin: What advice would you give future porn hopefuls?
Phoenix: NEVER, NEVER, NEVER , SIGN AN EXCLUSIVE CONTRACT. I make more as a NON-EXCLUSIVE model than any EXCLUSIVE model I know.
Dunkin: What is next for Phoenix?
Phoenix: " PhoenixRizing.com" is my next project. This is something I have to make happen, different companies have they would like to help me launch, but as you see the site isn't up. But I am dedicated to making this work and I know it will happen in 2012.
