Be seduced by a thug: The Dre and Dro Interview

Well for some time I wanted to interview the directors who produce some of the material that I watch and critique.I decided that the directors of Thugseduction would be the perfect ones to start off this series. I must admit that I am a fan of their work and I appreciate their progression. I foresee great things coming from their studio as the year goes on. They have had a few high charting DVDs, earned numerous porn award nominations and even won at the 10th annual Cybersocket web awards for the Best Black Site 2010. I must say that you guys need to check out their latest dvd's, Got Beef, Detroit XXX and Like a freak 2 all of which are my favorites and can be found on their DVD store site called Thug Depot ( www.thugdepot.com).Another reason why I am a fan of Thugseduction because they always bring your favorite stars like, Ace Rockwood, Mr Marky and Freakzilla to the 313 and you have to appreciate that. Now on to the questions...

Dunkin: Who are Dre and Dro and as directors what do you set out to produce?
TS: Dre and Dro are two low key guys who met at the University of Michigan. We both enjoyed watching porn but noticed that there was a lack of masculinity in the features that were being shown. But the funny things is, we did not plan on producing porn until this man named "Nawledge" asked us to put him on x-tube; the rest is history. As as far as the porn we want to produce,  we want to showcase "real" men who are truly masculine in nature.

Dunkin: What were the two of you doing before you started to own a company?
TS: Dro was attending school full time majoring in International Business while working at a local steel mill. Dre also attended school majoring in Criminal Justice while working for manufacturing company.

Dunkin: Hmm, interesting you guys are highly educated, I love it. A lot of people assume that many of the produces are ignorant because they produce a certain type of porn. Which brings me to my next question, why name the studio " Thugseduction"? Who came up with the name?
TS: Thug Seduction represents "masculine men" who have sex with each other and be seductive.

Dunkin: What is your ultimate goal for Thugseduction?
TS: To be a mega site, you know your 1 stop shop. Or in other words to be "THE WALMART OF PORN"

Dunkin: I know there are a lot of sites out there, so how do you feel Thugseduction compares to the other studios? What makes your studio stand out?
TS: We can't compare ourselves to other studios because I don't know their methods. We have a laid back approach while shooting but a very corporate approach to the industry as a whole. We care a little more about our models and we never put them in harms way or put them in a position where they might regret it or feel uncomfortable.

Dunkin: Who is your target audience/consumer?
TS: Everyone, we have no limits and boundaries.

Dunkin: How do you choose models? Is there a certain look you generally go for?
TS: Some of the models come into the office because they were referred to us by someone or they got our business card from someone and some just apply online through the website. As far as model selection, we look for the most masculine models we can find. Most of them are not gay and only do this for the pay. The "rougher the better" is what we say! LOL

Dunkin: OK..lets get really serious right now! I know your probably hearing this a lot,  but HIV/AIDS seems to be an epidemic in the world but especially in the African American community. This is sad but so very true so as a studio, how do you protect your models?
TS: We protect our models several ways and the first is communication. If you have to, speak seriously with these model and see where their mind sets are at. Most models don't understand the risks or don't even care. Its our job as a studio to let them know the risk and protect them from any danger. 98% of our scenes use condoms and our models have been tested from other STD's as well. Quite frankly, since HIV came to be so prevalent it seems to be the only thing people care about, but there are other things you can catch while having sex. There is no way to completely protect a person but we can reduce the risk and inform our models of the risk on set and off set.

Dunkin: Speaking of risks, I know you've made some bareback porn scenes but the studio as a whole is "Pro Condoms". So why do a bareback scene? Was it an attempt to keep up with the Joneses?
TS: Our mission statement promises that we will give the consumers what they want. So after taking a poll from our members over a 120 day period. We realized that our members wanted to see some bareback work, so we fulfilled that need.

Dunkin: What has been your favorite scene to shoot to date? I personally, like Threes a crowd with Dnice, Da Bandit and Creamz as well as your newest scene, with Rock and Creamz. Those are great.
TS: Dro believes "The Room" featuring Dnice , Dre Sexy and Creamz, and Dre's favorite is Da Bandit and The Mask.

Dunkin: Who are some of your favorite performers?
TS: Tops: Da Bandit, Dre Sexy and Flexx and Bottoms: Creamz and JR.

Dunkin: Are your models exclusively with your company?
TS: Yes, about 95% you can only see on our site. But sites are stealing them fast, I guess if you cant beat them steal their models right? LOL.

Dunkin: As directors you see a lot of the industry behind the scenes, so is there anything about this industry that you do not enjoy?
TS: We don't enjoy the drama, most of which is stirred up by models and often times the producers  get involved which is even worst.

Dunkin: What should we be on the lookout for in 2011?
TS: Hotter scenes, new models and new shooting styles.

Dunkin: Any words for the readers and fans of Dunkin's Playground?
TS: Watch out because we aren't playing with them!!...Check us out!!. Also special thanks to Dunkin's Playground for having us.
